A New Look to the Odyssey?

Hello Troops,
Andrew H. is one of our volunteers. He is working on a new 'look' to the Odyssey simulator.
Of course, the real Odyssey sits behind a wall in a room at the Space Center, but in the fantasy world of our stories it needs an exterior look. This look is how it would look in space if it were real. Andrew finished a model of his new Odyssey. I thought I'd post it here for all to see and comment on.

  1. Wow: Which flight director has been hiding this volunteer from the Programming Guild?

  2. Cool picture and certainly a "new" look to the Odyssey. However, I think the Odyssey looks better with a grey hull.
    just my two bits...

  3. Hmm, interesting design. It would be nice if he had a top-down look ask well. It is a little different how the curve of the ship looks and having the landing gear extended. I like this design, but I prefer the current design better. But if we make a new ship...

  4. One problem with this model is that we don't have any stock video footage to match with it. Then again, if he wants to animate new shots for the odyssey then we'd be in business.

  5. I think it is interesting but not the real shape of the Odyssey.

  6. What is the real shape of the Odyssey? Does anyone know?

  7. The Odyssey is one of my favorite ships! I think the Odyssey deserves an awesome new design like this one.

  8. I like the old one better. Plus it would be way too hard and take way too much time and too much money to go back and replace it. I think it's good and Andrew should keep... animating... but I'm a bit fond of the old one and Andrew's is a bit too long. Maybe one day we will replace the look of the Odyssey, but we would need it to look different.

  9. I'm not really sure what to think about this. Because I like the old look, but we always need to keep moving forward.
