Renaissance Space Academy Voyager Club Volunteer Recognitions
The Renaissance Space Academy (RSA) provides STEAM experiential education programs to our students and the public at large. Our current programs include:
1.  The Space Academy Young Astronauts Program: Grades 4-8.  An after school club.
2.  The Young Coders:  Computer programming club taught  after school and Saturday mornings.
3.  Space Academy Leadership Training (SALT): Provided to our RSA Cadets after school.
4.  Speech and Debate:  An fun, interactive, immersive class taught to strengthen and sharpen the speech and debate skills of our young RSA Cadets.
5.  Echoes and Reflections: A history class with an emphasis  on using the past to help solve today's cultural and societal problems.
6.  Voyager Club Volunteers: The RSA's volunteering organization open to teens aged 13-18 years.

Our Voyager Club volunteers are recognized for their school grades and volunteer hours at the Space Academy.  Three of our Voyagers recently received their membership lanyards.

New Voyager Club members are part of the Pioneer Squadron.  The Pioneers wear black lanyards. Pioneers who reach the 100 volunteer hours level and who meet the necessary grade point averages enter the Explorer Squadron.  They wear the "Starry Night" lanyard.
Contact the Space Academy for information on joining the Voyager Club.

Join the Space Center corps of engineers and enter for a chance to win $500 and a flight in our simulators.
We are holding a competition to design and build the next generation ðŸ˜‰ of engineering activities for our simulators. We are looking to engage the talents of our community to create activities that will go into our new starships that help to operate the ship controls and perform various tasks that enhance the experience.

Central Elementary School and Christa McAuliffe Space Center Construction Update

By James Porter
As the site supervisor Dan has been with the project from the beginning and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. There have been plenty of unique problems considering they are building 12 ft away from our school which is in full use. Dan has been very positive and helped keep the project rolling at a steady pace. So thank you Dan from Hogan & Associates Construction, we wanted to recognize your efforts in bringing this great new resource to our community.

Seen in the pictures below Dan (red hard hat) took some Central staff through to see the progress that is being made. It's pretty amazing to see the scale of the project up close.

The Farpoint Universe Starships
Created by Dr. Ryan Anderson
Telos Discovery Space Center

Telos Discovery Space Center, Renaissance Space Academy, and Reality's Edge create missions set in the Farpoint Universe.  Farpoint is rich in alien civilizations composing the galaxy's great houses.
Creating the special effects for a unique universe is difficult.  Thankfully, Farpoint has Ryan Anderson from Telos, director of the Telos Discovery Space Center.  Ryan has been busy imagineering the ships of the fleet.  Today we will highlight the Terran Space Command Corvette. The Corvette was designed with two things in mind: speed and anti-fighter weapons.  Dr. Anderson's Corvette is excellent at fighter interdiction, courier missions, blockade running, and anti-piracy operations.
