DreamFlight Adventures Announces the Construction of a New Starship in Michigan- the IKS Marvel. Welcome to the Diaspora of Voyager Inspired Simulators
Hello Space Fans!
It is always exciting for me to introduce the Space EdVenturing world to a new starship simulator inspired by the mother ship, the USS Voyager. Last week, our friends at DreamFlight Adventures released the news of their new starship, the IKS Marvel currently under construction in Dansville, Michigan. With the launch of the Marvel, Voyager inspired space edventuring ships can now be found in Utah, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, Michigan, Venezuela, and Cambodia.

Gary Gardiner, writing as Admiral Starblayze, wrote this about the Marvel in his DreamFlight Adventures's blog post.
We've dropped a few not-so-subtle hints about this over the past several weeks, but today we're delighted to announce the construction of a brand new simulator—the IKS Marvel—at Dansville Elementary School in Dansville, Michigan! Dansville Schools is an innovative, forward-thinking district, and we are delighted to be partnering with them on this exciting journey.
The IKS Marvel will be led by Angela St. Amant—a.k.a. Admiral Ameliorous—who has been an educator at Dansville Schools for over 15 years and currently serves as a technology and STEAM teacher, K-8. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University as well as an MA in Literacy Instruction and her Administration Certificate, both from Michigan State University. She's a perfect fit for Flight Director as the IKS Marvel takes off!Construction of the simulator is well underway and is progressing nicely.

Once the dust settles, what used to be a traditional classroom will be transformed into an out-of-this world learning environment! We can't wait to begin flying missions into the unknown with Dansville's best and brightest!
InfiniD Learning Welcomes Kaysville Elementary to the Rapidly Expanding InfiniD Family of Experiential Learning Labratories.

Sometimes it's hard to keep up with my good friends at InfiniD Learning. First we have the release of the company's new InfiniD Lab software, and now I'm told there are a dozen or so new schools opening labs so far this school year, and the year has just started. Casey, Skyler, and team are out to change the world.
To make things a bit easier, I'll highlight each of the new InfiniD schools in separate Troubadour posts. Today we focus our attention on the new Lab at Kaysville Elementary School in Kaysville, Utah. The sixth graders will be Lab's focus this year, with a potential for other graders to come on board as things progress along.
Welcome Kaysville Elementary to the growing family of Voyager inspired simulators flying the InfiniD flag.

Thorium, Alex Anderson's open sourced starship bridge simulator software program, had another milestone event on Saturday. The Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center's first Thorium private mission was told on the Magellan. Thorium has been the CMSC's program of choice for the field trip flights since the beginning of the school year but no ship had used it for a paid private mission until yesterday.
Matt Robinson decided to tell "Midnight Rescue" to his young crew. Midnight Rescue (Stazi) is a field trip mission, used on occasion as a private mission when the need arises. Because it is a field trip flight, Matt made the decision to use Thorium.
