The Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center Announces the Creation of Four New Departments. A Report on the Media Club. The CMSEC's Great Pumpkin. The Imaginarium.

Hello Space Fans!
The CMSEC is pleased to announce the start of four staff/volunteer departments:  Acting - Writing, Media & amp, Design - Engineering.  These four departments will create new props, visuals, and other content to give the Center's fours simulators the look and feel of futuristic starships.

Many hours of preparation have gone into the development of the departments," said James Porter, CMSEC Director, "and we have much more to come, so forgive us of our flaws and imperfections as we grow."  CMSEC staff and volunteers will direct these departments.
Each department will eventually have an honor that can be earned and awarded at the Center's Honors Nights.  

The Departments will be headed by these outstanding member of staff and volunteers.

Of course, you're wondering how you can get involved.  It's easy, go to the CMSEC's web site and apply to become a volunteer.  Starfleet is looking for outstanding people like YOU.

Devin Sudwicks Invites YOU to Join the Media Department at the Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center

The Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center's new Media department met for the first time on Saturday, Oct 7th. Devin Sudwicks is the department's director.  As part of the Media Department, CMSEC member volunteers will learn how to develop the next amazing visuals and other sensory delights.

The following topics were discussed at the October 7th meeting:
  • Graphic design/digital art
  • Animation
  • Making Space Center tactical stacks in TSG
  • Video and audio production/editing
  • The value of creativity
  • And more... only time will tell what.
  Admit it. You have always wanted to design your own Valentine cards. You have also wondered about the secrets of the success of the McDonald's  fast food franchise...
You probably have a dream of filming a game show that will rank among the legends of GSN someday.

But most of all, you have wanted to hang out with Devin. Now you can!  How you ask?

The Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center's Official Entry in Central Elementary's Classroom Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Every year, Central Elementary, home to the Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center, asks its teachers to paint pumpkins. This includes the Space Center. Pirates is this year's theme. This is the Space Center's entry based on the Pirates of the Caribbean and decorated by Audrey, President of the Believers in the Great Pumpkin Club Local 1332 and a proud member of the Order of the Blue Shirts.
